Pausing or Cancelling Your Subscription
This guide explains how to cancel your Seal Owner subscription. All subscription management, including cancellations, is handled through our secure, third-party payment partner, Stripe. Please read the "Important Information" section carefully to understand what happens after you cancel.
📝 Cancelling Your Subscription
Follow these steps to cancel your subscription. You must be the account owner to perform this action.
First, log in to your account. The process involves the following steps:
- Navigate to your My Account page from the main dashboard or user menu.
- In the account management section, find and click the Manage Billing & Invoices button.
- You will be securely redirected to your personal billing portal, hosted by Stripe.
- Beside your current plan details, click the Cancel plan button.
- Stripe will present a confirmation screen. Follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the cancellation.
Once confirmed, your subscription will be set to cancel at the end of your current billing period.
📧 Notifications
Stripe will send a confirmation of your cancellation.
- You will receive an automated email notification from Stripe confirming that your subscription has been scheduled for cancellation.
🔒 Security Is Our Priority
The cancellation process is handled securely and directly by you.
- Access Levels: Only the primary account owner has permission to cancel a subscription.
- Secure Portal: All subscription changes are made by you within the secure Stripe portal. You will never be asked to provide account information to our team to process a cancellation.
- Best Practices: Always ensure you see Stripe.com in the URL after clicking the "Manage Billing & Invoices" button before making any changes.
🛑 Important Information
Please review the following policies regarding your subscription cancellation:
- Effective Date: Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will retain full access to all Seal Owner features until that date. We do not offer prorated refunds.
- Access After Cancellation: After your subscription period ends, you will no longer be able to generate new seal codes. However, for the security of documents already in circulation, you will always retain the ability to manage your existing seal codes (e.g., deactivating them or changing contact info visibility).
