Updating Your Payment Method
This guide explains how to update the credit card or other payment method used for your Seal Owner subscription. To ensure the highest level of security, all billing information is managed through our secure, third-party payment partner, Stripe.
📝 Updating Your Payment Method
Follow these steps to add a new payment method or change your default payment source. You must be the account owner to perform these actions.
First, log in to your account. The process involves the following steps:
- Navigate to your My Account page from the main dashboard or user menu.
- In the account management section, find and click the Manage Billing & Invoices button.
- You will be securely redirected to your personal billing portal, hosted by Stripe.
- In the "Payment Methods" section of the portal, click the + Add payment method button.
- Enter your new card or payment details in the form that appears and click Add to save it.
- To ensure future renewals are charged to the new card, you must set it as the default. Click the three-dot menu (...) next to your newly added payment method and select Make default.
After completing these steps, your new payment method will be active for all future subscription charges.
📧 Notifications
Stripe will keep you informed about changes to your account.
- You will likely receive an automated email notification from Stripe confirming that a new payment method has been added to your account.
🔒 Security Is Our Priority
We take the security of your financial information very seriously.
- Access Levels: Only the primary account owner has permission to view and manage billing information.
- Secure Processing: Your payment details are entered directly into the secure Stripe portal. VerifyThisSeal.com does not handle, process, or store your credit card information on our servers. You will never be asked to provide payment information via email or phone call.
- Best Practices: Always ensure you see Stripe.com in the URL after clicking the "Manage Billing & Invoices" button before entering your payment details.
🛑 Important Information
To ensure your subscription remains active, please be aware of the following:
- To prevent service interruptions, please ensure your default payment method is always current and has not expired.
- If a recurring payment fails, your subscription may be paused or canceled until your billing information is updated. You will be notified by Stripe if a payment fails.
