Quick Start: For Professionals

This guide provides a step-by-step checklist to take you from creating your account to generating your first secure seal code. Following these steps will ensure your account is fully configured, secure, and ready to use.


📝 Your Onboarding Checklist

To get started, work through the following essential setup tasks.

  1. Create Your Account
    You can register directly on our website. If you received an invitation email from your state licensing board, a partner organization, or after an event, you can also start by clicking the unique link in that email.
  2. Set Your Password & Save Your Recovery Key
    During setup, you will create a password and be issued a one-time Recovery Key. It is critical that you immediately save this key in a secure location (such as a password manager or a physical safe). It is the only way to regain access to your account if you lose your password and email access.
  3. Verify Your Identity
    To generate seal codes and to claim seals, your identity must be verified. This secure process is handled by our third-party partner, Stripe. The verification prompt will appear automatically the first time you log in, or you can access it from your My Account page.
    • What you'll need: A smartphone (or computer with an HD camera) and your valid, state-issued photo ID.
    • Name Confirmation: In some cases, if your ID provides multiple name options (e.g., two first names), you may be asked to confirm your legal first and last name via a link sent to your email.
  4. Claim Your Professional Seal(s)
    Navigate to the My Seals page to add your professional license information. You must have at least one approved seal to generate codes. See Adding and Verifying Your Seal(s) to learn more.
  5. Activate a Subscription (Seal Owners)
    If you are the owner of the professional seal(s) you have claimed, you must have an active subscription to generate codes. You can subscribe from your My Account page. (Delegates do not need their own subscription.)
  6. Generate Your First Seal Code
    Once your identity is verified and you have an approved seal, you're ready to go! Navigate to the Generate a Seal Code page to secure your first document.

📝 Acting as a Delegate

If you only need to generate codes on behalf of another professional, your setup is even simpler.

After completing steps 1-3 (Account Creation & Identity Verification), you do not need to claim your own seals or purchase a subscription. Simply:

  1. Go to your My Account page.
  2. Find and copy your unique User ID.
  3. Provide this ID to the seal holder who wishes to grant you delegate access. Once they add you as a delegate, their seal will appear as an option for you on the "Generate a Seal Code" page.

✅ You're All Set!

Once you have completed these steps, your account is fully operational. You have successfully:

  • Secured your account with a password and a saved recovery key.
  • Verified your identity as a licensed professional.
  • Gained the ability to generate secure, verifiable codes for your documents, either for your own seals or as a delegate.
