Managing Email Notifications

This guide explains the types of emails you will receive from VerifyThisSeal.com. To maintain a high level of security for all users, our platform sends mandatory transactional emails to alert you of important activity on your account.


📧 Understanding Transactional Emails

Transactional emails are automated, non-promotional messages triggered by specific actions or events within your account. They are a core part of our security model, ensuring you are always aware of critical account activity. Below are the types of emails you can expect to receive.

Account & Security Notifications

  • Email Confirmations: When you register a new account or change your email address, you'll receive a link to confirm ownership.
  • Login Verification Codes: For security, each login requires a one-time passcode that is sent to your email.
  • Password Resets: Links to reset your password when you've forgotten it, and confirmations after the password has been changed.
  • Recovery Key Notices: Notifications when a new Recovery Key is issued to your account.

Seal, Code & Delegation Notifications

  • Seal Status Updates: Confirmations when your professional seal claim is submitted, approved, rejected, or unlinked by an administrator.
  • New Code Generation: An alert whenever a new seal code is generated for one of your seals, whether it's by you or one of your delegates.
  • Code Deactivation: An alert when a seal code has been deactivated.
  • Delegation Alerts: Emails to both you and the other user when you delegate a seal, or when someone grants delegate access to you. This also includes alerts when a delegation is revoked.

Report & Discrepancy Alerts

  • Discrepancy Reports: If a public verifier reports that the details on a document do not match the information on the verification page for one of your codes, you will be notified.
  • Seal Reports: If a verifier reports seeing one of your professional seals used in a manner that seems incorrect (e.g., on a document without a code), you will receive an alert.

Identity Verification & Subscription Emails

  • Identity Status: Updates on the status of your identity verification, such as success, failure, or if more information is required.
  • Subscription & Billing: Confirmations, receipts, and other important notices related to your subscription status.

Support Ticket Communications (Applies to Public Users)

  • Ticket Creation: A confirmation that your support request has been received, including a secure link to view the ticket thread.
  • New Replies: An alert with a new secure link each time a staff member replies to your ticket.
  • Ticket Closed: A final notification when your support request has been resolved and closed.

🛑 Important: You Cannot Unsubscribe from Transactional Emails

To protect the integrity of your professional seals and the security of the platform, you cannot opt out of or unsubscribe from these essential notifications.

  • Mandatory for Security: Receiving these alerts is a condition of using the platform. They ensure you are immediately aware of significant actions related to your account, such as login attempts or changes to your credentials.
  • No Marketing Content: These emails are strictly for account-related purposes and will never contain promotional or marketing content.

📝 Future: How to Manage Marketing Preferences

VerifyThisSeal.com does not currently send marketing or promotional emails.

Should we introduce marketing communications in the future, we are committed to providing you with full control over your preferences. You will be able to manage these settings in two ways:

  • From a new preferences section that will be added to your My Account page.
  • Via an "Unsubscribe" link that will be included in the footer of every marketing email.
